The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is facing a complex humanitarian crisis. The country is simultaneously experiencing armed conflicts, food insecurity and recurring epidemics, including cholera, measles and the second-largest ever Ebola outbreak globally. The humanitarian situation is especially taking a toll on the women and girls in DRC.
We need your support to continue delivering life-saving maternal health services, especially for those living in remote areas. We are:
- Delivering sexual and reproductive health services to women and girls in remote areas through mobile clinics;
- Supporting maternal health facilities to ensure mothers and their newborns receive the care they need;
- Building the capacity of health systems to ensure access to health services for women in vulnerable communities;
- Sending critical medical supplies, hygiene and sanitary items, and personal protective equipment for health-care workers to safely treat patients and to reduce the risk of infection, especially among pregnant women.
We CAN reach more people in need with your help today.
